The Blackbird's Eye Plant Spirit Doll

The Blackbird’s Eye is one of the small group of plant spirit dolls completed at the full moon after the Spring Equinox. She was created to honour the need for vision and intuition and the gift of seership. She wears a dress and cloak woven from black alpaca wool woven with bright silks. Over her third eye she has an eye woven in silk, wool and glitter fibre. She wears brass bells in her hair and around her neck is a herkimer diamond. She is filled with thistle seeds and her hair is woven from Icelandic wool. She was made by hand with love in our garden in lutruwita / Tasmania.
